French producer @ValyMo slams hard with future bass of “Dimension”

VALY MO, “Dimension”

I’ll say it again – there was no shortage of fantastic dance music coming from France in 2018 and I expect it to continue in 2019.  That will allow progressive-minded producers like Valy Mo to acquire an even bigger worldwide following if songs like “Dimension” can help take him there.  Normally, using a relentless and linear vocal sample would drive me crackers, but there’s so much that’s huge that’s going on in “Dimension”.  It slams hard and shakes you up well enough for just shy of three minutes and the vocal ends up being highly complimentary.  “Dimension” is destined for worldwide club and festival play.  The dance music world needs more bass bumpers like this one!

UK producer @NotionDJ brings bass bounce to the floor with “Real” featuring Cecelia

NOTION and CECELIA, “Real”

Tiësto’s Musical Freedom label that shows how it’s breaking away from time to time from traditional house bangers. “Real” by British producer/DJ Notion is an uncharacteristic release for the label, a bass heavy track that still falls into the banger category with its infectious breaks and drops.  With an urgent soulful male vocal rooted in early 00’s British house through Cecelia, “Real” just doesn’t let up for its three minutes+, with its squeaky synth riffs that will resonate easily through big dance club speakers.  Notion definitely has a playful ear to make his sounds stand out without making some synth effects seem intrusive, and “Real” should continue to bring his name to the fore.

“U Got That” is a deep down ‘n dirty bass club track this time from Atlanta’s @we_are_Halogen

HALOGEN, “U Got That” (free DL)

It’s a little hard to ponder after the delightful pop/dance duet-making that Halogen recently released in the form of “Can’t Resist” that the duo could turn their heads to a song so deep down ‘n dirty, but here it is, “U Got That”, which is available as a free download above.  I do enjoy hearing the other sides of what performers listen to and then record, and “U Got That” is a club bass banger that will fill your speakers.  Its low, ominous vocal is entertaining and the rhythm is impossible to resist.  Brought to you by Pinnacle Collective, “U Got That” is definitely one that DJ’s won’t want to miss!

Red Hot collab: “No Hands” by @itsdiffmusic & @ForeverMCmusic featuring @iamBlackBear and @MAXgschneider

it’s different & FOREVER MC featuring BLACK BEAR & MAX, “No Hands” (free DL)

The creative folks in the R&B, hip hop and dance/EDM genres know that sometimes it’s best to combine forces to create a one-of-a-kind record.  Such is the case with “No Hands”, a red hot collaboration between mystery production duo it’s different, Utah rapper Forever MC, L.A.’s smoking hot Black Bear, and NYC’s own MAX.  “No Hands” comes large and in charge and doesn’t for one second let you give up the ghost to think any less of it throughout the entire song.  The three vocals blend somewhat seamlessly despite the diverse backgrounds of each, and the bassy/trappy mix is as risk-taking as the intent behind the lyrics.  “No Hands” is an inventive pop hit in the making that will sound equally as wonderful on radio next to Drake and Kendrick Lamar as it would next to Calvin Harris and David Guetta.  It’s a free download for now at the link above; get it while it lasts!!

“Give It All” is chill Caribbean-flavoured bass music by @SCRVP and newcomers @SecretxSauce with vocals by Kyle Woodcock @KyleScottmusic

scrvp. & SECRET SAUCE featuring KYLE WOODCOCK, “Give It All” (free DL)

An unintended companion piece to “Despacito” or “I’m The One” perhaps?  Nonetheless, the bass groove is unmistakable in “Give It All” by MMXVAC’s own Jhonathan Dossa, aka scrvp., and he’s paired with fellow Americans and newcomers Secret Sauce (DJ MI and masked man GxxdStress) for this easy-going but tight party number.  Singer/songwriter Kyle Woodcock’s deeper voice initially seems out of place, but ends up fitting like a glove to help make the song’s statement in such a chill setting.  DJ’s might want to play this coming out of a slower set and into one with island/tropical flavouring to help bring the goods back to the party.  “Give It All” is also available as a free download at the link above for a limited time.
