California pop singer @KaceyFifield returns with poignant “Ghost” with South Korea’s Little Rain, and synth-washed @AlessVanco remix of “Confused”

KACEY FIFIELD and LITTLE RAIN, “Ghost”

KACEY FIFIELD, “Confused” (Aless Vanco remix)

Through her ongoing work with singer/songwriter/producer Robbie Rosen, California’s Kacey Fifield is finding a nice niche with genuine-sounding alternative electronic pop that will appeal wholeheartedly to teens and young adults.  Her most recent release, “Ghost” finds her teamed up with South Korean producer Little Rain, who has demonstrated his flair for beautiful synth melodies, such as in “Moonlight” (with vocalist/songwriter Devyn Rush). It’s a delightful pairing as Little Rain taps into the emotion of “Ghost” that allows the song to shine without being maudlin. Kacey’s down-to-earth vocal is appealing and will touch those young folks who can relate to the feelings expressed in this post-relationship story.

I previously wrote about Kacey’s Spring solo release “Confused”, which gets an engaging lift from Belgian producer Aless Vanco and makes the familiar sentiments of Kacey’s song sparkle with the addition of synth flourishes in all the right places.  It’s easy to bury a vocal under effects but Aless Vanco capably balances the vocal, melodies and rhythm, and his remix helps to accentuate all of the fine features about the singer and her song.

L.A.-based teen pop singer/songwriter @KaceyFifield is back with thoughtful solo release “Confused”

KACEY FIFIELD, “Confused”

Kacey Fifield is a 16 year old singer/songwriter from L.A. whose burgeoning talent is popping in 2021.  “Confused” is her second release for Tipsy Records, following up last year’s uncharacteristic and unique duet with Robbie Rosen called “Last Breath”.  “Confused” is a thoughtful electronic ballad that should capture the ears of many listeners within her age range. Its relatable words pinpoint the feelings of many teens and young adults in these unusual times who are trying their best to cope with the demands of relationships, social media, puberty, school, work, and more. Kacey sings right from the heart, there is no embellishing, and she is fortunate to have ongoing guidance with her music from friend, occasional co-writer and producer Robbie.  Kacey is well-established in social media circles and her fans should flock to the authenticity of “Confused”.

Promises promises: @RobbieRosenlive and @KaceyFifield ponder love and devotion in electro-ballad stunner “Last Breath”

ROBBIE ROSEN & KACEY FIFIELD, “Last Breath”

The time couldn’t be more right for an electro ballad like no other out there right now.  American Idol finalist Robbie Rosen (recently heard on Saxity’s “Fantasy”) and the award-winning Kacey Fifield, who has been performing since she was 10, come together with an original composition that they co-wrote called “Last Breath”.  The song looks back on broken promises made when relationships end, and how they may have been sincere at the time. It also ponders what person will actually be with you when it comes down to your own last breath.  The song’s many subtleties hold up all the way through until some final delicate moments.  The pair could not sing better together, and Kacey is one helluva impressive singer to watch for at only 15 years old.  So, no it’s not a love song – it has its own dynamic which will catch you off guard.  Don’t be too surprised if you’re full of deep sighs and oohs and ahs at the sincere appeal of “Last Breath”.
