“Take Me Down” is new from #Toronto powerhouse vocalist @JuliaCarlucci

Following up her 2015 EP For Me is Toronto’s Julia Carlucci with “Take Me Down”.  Regardless of how you find your music – through radio, digital playlists, or online – “Take Me Down” is vocal-driven R&B-inspired pop whose intent is to bring the house down and make you remember who sung it.  And with the video showcase above, Julia has an appeal that could transcend Lady Gaga, Cher, and Céline Dion, even though her most immediate inspirations are the likes of Alicia Keys and Beyoncé.  Set in a classic pop setting with orchestra backing, I’m certain you’ll be hearing more of Julia Carlucci as word gets out about “Take Me Down”, as they already have in other parts of the world (Japan and Indonesia, being two)!

@NewImmunity create a lilting remix for new British singer @JazzMorley’s “Take Me Down”

JAZZ MORLEY, “Take Me Down” (New Immunity remix)

After successfully tackling a remix of Molly Moore’s cover of the classic “Come Fly With Me” in the Spring, Tyler and Garret from New Immunity are back with their take on “Take Me Down” by new British singer Jazz Morley.  It’s a fine independently-released song about combating that invisible monster called jealousy, and New Immunity adds a lift to the song in tempo and in overall feel that helps reassure us of a winning battle.  The singer is one to watch, with a gorgeous restraint to her voice that also knows when to let loose.  Yeah there are a lot of mid-tempo EDM ballads out there lately but count this remix of “Take Me Down” as one of the better of them.  Check it out at the link above and pick it up at your favourite digital store.

With Sights Set On Eurovision: @MarkusRiva with “Take Me Down”

MARKUS RIVA, “Take Me Down”

Latvia’s reknown DJ, singer, actor and model Markus Riva takes away the dance beats and trades them in (as well as brunette locks for blond) for a powerful ballad melody with “Take Me Down”.  Markus did so well finishing in the Top 10 for Latvia’s competition leading to a Eurovision entry with “Lights On” that he once again has his sights set for a similar goal with “Take Me Down”.  Like “Lights On”, “Take Me Down” has broad international appeal with a great hook and this time a smouldering performance that wouldn’t be hard to visualize on stage.  Markus is making some of his best songs and this rock power ballad shows another side of him where he sounds just great.   You can buy “Take Me Down” on iTunes.
