Picture those final summer episodes of TV shows with romantic sub-plots when the guy and gal make-up. Sam Taylor’s “It’s A Mistake” is the potential soundtrack to many of those scenes. It’s a stunningly simple pop song that suits Sam’s pitch-perfect voice to a tee.
Sam’s one of my 10 Performers to Watch in 2010, based on his 2009 songs “Run Away” and “Sometimes I Need You”. “It’s A Mistake” just straight up gives me chills. Don’t underestimate the power of a song this unassuming.
Someone please give us a full, proper Sam Taylor album later in this year (oh, and please include a duet or two?) 🙂
