FEFE DOBSON, “Legacy”
Toronto’s Fefe Dobson continues to create her own “Legacy” after debuting a decade ago as a teenager with solid pop/rock songs that belied her young years. Whenever she has released music, it yielded hits, most recently with 2010’s Joy, which brought us “Ghost” and “Stuttering” among others. “Legacy” is much more sophisticated rock to appease her regular listeners as well as draw in new ones, younger and older. The video (link is right here) sees her in various stages of costume obviously in tribute to some of her musician and media heroes. It’s an eye-catching, energetic romp and should help grow listeners for the song. Look for her fourth solo album next year called Firebird.
