“Stranger” is about to put that funky groove back into the hot summer months for you. On a totally 80’s/90’s retro tip, with particular reference to Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, and Mary J. Blige, NYC producer/DJ Chris Malinchak follows up his worldwide smash “So Good To Me” with a song that will make heads turn. The song features the gifted voice of Mikky Ekko, the Louisiana-born singer who wowed us on Rihanna’s “Stay” and his own follow-up single “Kids”. “Stranger” is completely unlike those songs and is really a fresh start for Mikky. Look for “Stranger” to be one of the most welcome surprises of the summer. It’s an uncharacteristic collaboration but I think will be the start of more between Chris Malinchak and Mikky Ekko.
