QUINTINO, “Devotion”
When I write about a cover version, it usually has something unique about it to rival or surpass the original. Young Dutch DJ/producer Quintino turns 90’s dance classic “(I Wanna Give You) Devotion” by Nomad into a slamming and manic slice of horn-laden electro house. After already conquering Dutch dance charts with “Epic”, “Devotion” seizes the moment for international glory. While Quintino’s rendition removes the happy hip hop flavour of the original, it cranks up the beat and will have friends of the dance floor in a blissful tizzy.
