BILLCS Top 30 #714 – March 24/25

This abbreviated chart blog post comes from Seattle, where my daughter VXTORIA is working with her artist developer on a photo shoot and a video for her upcoming single.

Check out information about my ONLINE RADIO SHOWS after the chart commentary below as they are now directly tied in with this blog.  As most of you know, I host 3 online radio shows – The Big 20 and two iterations of Your Weekend New Music Mix – and produce 2 online radio segments – my new music and retro picks of the week – that are all pre-recorded. The Big 20 and the picks of the week are happily being syndicated and you can find the current schedule for all at the bottom of the home page of this blog.

NOTE: With phasing out the You Tube links for the songs on the chart for accessibility purposes, most of the links to the songs via the photos are now Spotify links.

Lady Gaga, "Abracadabra"

Lady Gaga’s Mayhem is certainly one of my favourite albums, and “Abracadabra” (above) easily gets a second appearance at #1.  I wonder what song further down the chart will succeed it?  Gaga also has the highest debut with my next favourite track on the album, “Vanish Into You” (below), which arrives at #25.

Lady Gaga, "Vanish Into You"

Anyma, Ellie Goulding, "Hypnotized"

Anyma and Ellie Goulding would have had a #1 with “Hypnotized” if not for “Abracadabra”, and it climbs 4-2. You might find it in the runner up spot two weeks from now too.

"Heart First", Lucas & Steve, Jordan Shaw

A truly fine feel good song, “Heart First” (above) by Lucas & Steve and vocalist/songwriter Jordan Shaw advances 5-3.  You can find another terrific vocal by Jordan on Tiësto’s recent release “Hold Me” (below).

Tiesto, Jordan Shaw, "Hold Me"

Henri PFR, "Up In The Sky"

A song that’s grown on me immensely in the past several weeks is the perky and upbeat “Up In The Sky” by Belgium’s Henri PFR, which breaks through the Top 10, climbing 11-4.

PAWSA, The Adventures of Stevie V, "Dirty Cash (Money Talks)"

The rework of “Dirty Cash (Money Talks)” by UK producer PAWSA and the original artist, legendary British house producer Stevie Vincent aka The Adventures Of Stevie V, moves up 7-5.

John Summit, CLOVES, "Focus"

John Summit is one producer you’ll find playing at Ultra Music Festival during Miami Music Week this year, and along with vocalist/songwriter CLOVES, he gets his second Top 10 entry on my chart with “Focus” moving up 14-10.

Sonny Fodera, Clementine Douglas, "Tell Me"

Just missing the Top 10 and rising 18-11 is “Tell Me” by Sonny Fodera and Clementine Douglas.

Kygo, One Republic, "Chasing Paradise"

Kygo’s collaboration with One Republic, “Chasing Paradise”, is also staring down the Top 10 and climbs 20-13.

Liam Wall, "Walking Red Flag"

Liam Wall’s affecting and melodic “Walking Red Flag” breaks out of the lower part of the chart and rises 21-15. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself singing along to this one in no time!

Magic Bronson, "Good Dogs"

Another great singalong and sure to put a smile on your face is “Good Dogs” by L.A. electronic rock duo Magic Bronson, which moves up 24-16.

The Weeknd, "Cry For Me"

The Weeknd it seems will be performing everywhere this year to support his latest album Hurry Up Tomorrow.  “Cry For Me” is a great choice for a single and rises 23-17.David Archuleta, "Freedom"

The Fastest Riser on the chart belongs to David Archuleta with his spirited version of George Michael’s “Freedom” soaring 26-18.

Benson Boone, "Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else"

The second of three new entries on the chart is “Sorry I’m Here For Someone Else”, another case of stellar songwriting for Benson Boone and team, and it arrives at #26. It’s already his 8th chart entry, since I first began supporting his music at the start, three years ago.

Michael Medrano, "Martini (Shots)"

The remaining new entry is “Martini (Shots)”, the anthemic house track by L.A.’s favourite disco dad Michael Medrano and his second, quite naughty album The Penthouse. It debuts at #27 and is his fourth chart entry to date.
