BILLCS Top 30 #716 – April 21/25

While she currently has two songs on the chart, the MAYHEM run at #1 for “Abracadabra” by Lady Gaga is coming to an end, but in doing so, it matches the 4-chart number one run of “Rain On Me” (with Ariana Grande) in 2020.  Songs by Sonny Fodera & Clementine Douglas and Kygo & One Republic look to challenge in two weeks.  There are so many fine songs on the chart this week that there are only two debuts.

As a standing item about my daughter VXTORIA‘s progress with her music, her debut single “Back To You”, the official video dropped last Friday and has already got almost 500 views!  Not bad for a first release right? The video is a fine initial showcase, so please check it out at the following link:  Back To You.

Lady Gaga, "Abracadabra"

Keeping the magic going for a fourth chart at #1, it’s “Abracadabra” by Lady Gaga.

Sonny Fodera, Clementine Douglas, "Tell Me"

Sonny Fodera’s recent #1 “Somedays” just left the chart after the maximum 10 charts (20 weeks), but his new collaboration with Clementine Douglas, “Tell Me”, rises 5-2.

Kygo, One Republic, "Chasing Paradise"

Kygo also got to #1 last year with “Without You” (with Hayla), and challenges in two weeks with his collaboration with One Republic, “Chasing Paradise” (7-3).  It’s Kygo’s fourth Top 5 entry and One Republic’s best showing since their 2007 arrival on Timbaland’s “Apologize”, which reached #1.

Magic Bronson, "Good Dogs"

A song that always puts me in a great mood is Magic Bronson’s “Good Dogs”, from the album of the same name. It makes short work of the Top 10, up 9-5.

Liam Wall, "Walking Red Flag"

Liam Wall’s reflective and relatable “Walking Red Flag” (above) sings about a lot of things people think about but don’t say, with an incredibly earnest vocal, and the song rises 11-8. Liam recently released a live EP called Someone I Once Knew, and below is a solid track from it, “You Don’t See Well At Night”.

Benson Boone, "Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else"

After two weeks of amazing performances at Coachella that show he will be around for a long, long time, Benson Boone’s “Sorry I’m Here For Someone Else” becomes his 7th Top 10 entry, zipping into the Top 10 by moving 21-10.

sombr, "back to friends"

After a successful North American tour opening for Daniel Seavey, sombr is soaring up the charts in North America and the UK with his two recent singles, “back to friends” and “undressed”.  “back to friends” (above) is the Fastest Riser on the chart, soaring 24-11, while “undressed” (below) makes its debut at #28. North American charts are leaning towards the former, while the latter is sitting in the Top 20 in the UK!

Gryffin, Kaskade, Nu-La, "In My Head"

Gryffin’s “In My Head” (with Kaskade and Nu-La) has been waiting to move up for weeks, and breaks through the Top 20, climbing 18-12.

Michael Medrano, "Martini (Shots)"

Also making a nice leap up the chart is L.A.’s resident ‘disco dad’ Michael Medrano with “Martini (Shots)” (22-14) from his nice ‘n naughty album The Penthouse.

Martin Garrix, Arijit Singh, "Angels for Each Other"

Martin Garrix & Arijit Singh’s unique and captivating “Angels for Each Other” is now breaking at North American dance radio, and climbs 26-19.

Tiesto, Jordan Shaw, "Hold Me"

“Hold Me” by Tiësto and Jordan Shaw moves up 28-20. It continues to give UK singer/songwriter Jordan two songs on the chart, with Lucas & Steve’s “Heart First” hanging in at #18.

Jay Bird, "Do It Like Me"

Bay area producer/DJ Jay Bird is off to a great start with the exuberant and fun “Do It Like Me” rising 27-21.  Jay released another track last Friday called “Everybody” which you can check out below.

James Hype, "Don't Wake Me Up"

The Highest Debut belongs to UK dance producer James Hype with his first chart entry and current dance radio hit “Don’t Wake Me Up” at #27. James is best known for his UK Top 10 hits “More Than Friends” and “Ferrari”, so he’s no newcomer to the scene. He’s also recorded with the likes of Kim Petras and Craig David, and he’s remixed hits by Bruno Mars, David Guetta and Oliver Heldens.
