BILLCS Top 30 #737 – February 9/26 featuring songs by Dimension & Karen Harding, Alexander Stewart, Will Swinton, Jorge Wilson, Kungs & Theophilus London and more!

There are a number of songs this week shuffling around the chart and keeping it interesting, plus two debuts.

Check out information about my ONLINE RADIO SHOWS after the chart commentary below as they are directly tied in with this blog.  As most of you know, I host 3 online radio shows – The Big 20 and two iterations of Your Weekend New Music Mix – and produce 2 online radio segments – my new music and retro picks of the week – that are all pre-recorded. The Big 20 and the picks of the week are happily being syndicated and you can find the current schedule for all at the bottom of the home page of this blog.

Alexander Stewart, "The Boy I Almost Was"

Alexander Stewart’s pensive album track from What If, “The Boy I Almost Was”, moves up 5-2. A second #1 looks to be in the offering for him, but how soon? We’re going to be graced with a brand new song from Alexander on February 20 called “Every Lifetime”.

Will Swinton, "Find a Way"

Will Swinton’s “Find a Way” holds at #3. Will featured a preview of “Find a Way” on Instagram last summer, and another song from that same preview, “Better Off”, arrives on February 13.

Jorge Wilson, "Gemini"

Climbing 8-4 is new pop/rock artist Jorge Wilson, who hails from Stoke-on-Trent in north-east England, with the supremely catchy “Gemini”.

MashBit, Luke Alexander, sunsett., "Holding On"

The beautiful deep house track “Holding On”, by producers MashBit, Luke Alexander and sunsett. (aka Canadian Richy Molina, who also provides vocals) moves up 7-5.

Tiesto, FORS, "Bring Me To Life"

Tiësto currently has one of national dance radio’s biggest hits with his return to trance with “Bring Me To Life” (11-6) with vocalist Nellie FORS. It’s Tiësto’s 7th Top 10 entry; his first was back in 2004!

N i G H T S, "Addicted"

Philadelphia alternative pop/hip hop duo N i G H T S climbs 10-8 with “Addicted” (above). Their concurrent entry on the chart, “Bad” (bel9w), makes a swift move this week rising 22-16.

Miguel, "Rip"

Also new to the Top 10 is “Rip”, the drum ‘n bass flavoured track by Miguel from his latest album CAOS. His tour to support the album starts tomorrow (February 10) in Atlanta. It’s his 6th Top 10 entry and first since 2018.

Mico, eaJ, "Ever After"

Briskly rising up the chart is “Ever After” (18-13) by Toronto singer/songwriter Mico and Asian-American singer eaJ (aka Jae Park).

Kungs, Theophilus London, "Galaxy"

The Fastest Riser on the chart is the fun and infectious “Galaxy” by French dance producer Kungs and American singer Theophilus London, which soars 23-15.

Trivecta, vanru, "Before I Go"

Aerosmith, Yungblud, "Problems"

Other debuts from the last chart all make stalwart moves up the chart this week, and they’re all back-to-back.  They are “Before I Go” by Florida electronic producer Trivecta with British vocalist vanru (26-20, above); “Problems”, a 70’s flavoured rock revival by Aerosmith and newly minted Grammy winner Yungblud (27-21, also above); and “Tha Rizzla”, a fast-paced, percussive tribal dance track peppered with African and Caribbean influences by Italian dance producer Filippide (28-22, below).

Illenium, Lo Spirit, "War"

“War” by Illenium and Lo Spirit rises 29-24, culled from Illenium’s newly released album Odyssey. The record features a diverse who’s who of the pop, rock, dance and electronic music scenes including Ellie Goulding, Bring Me The Horizon, Mako, Alok, Kid Cudi, Bastille and Dabin, as well as last year’s BILLCS Top 30 #1 “In My Arms” with Hayla.

TELYKast, Sam Gray, "Hold On"

While “Super Powers” departs the chart after peaking at #3, L.A. dance producers TELYKast continue their run on the chart with the Highest Debut, “Hold On” at #28, featuring the epic voice of British singer Sam Gray. With Sam, TELYKast has had two BILLCS Top 30 #1’s, “Unbreakable” and “Surrender Your Love”. “Hold On” is TELYKast’s 6th chart entry.

Corbyn Besson, TZUYU, "Blink"

And arriving at #29 is the sexy and playful “Blink” by former Why Don’t We member Corbyn Besson with Taiwanese vocalist TZUYU of the KPOP group Twice. It’s Corbyn’s second entry following his appearance on NOTD’s 2024 release “Panic” (#6), and comes from his EP Head First.
