DAVID ARCHULETA, “Faith In Me”
Two years ago, when I wrote about David Archuleta’s release “Movin'”, I hinted that the former “American Idol” finalist may be entering another era as his now-independently released music was moving away from a corporate pop sound and now incorporating electronics and dance rhythms. “Faith In Me” confirms it all as a celebratory and more polished dance bop that welcomes listeners to 2020’s David, now free from his previous religious obligations and open about his sexuality. “Faith In Me” wears its honesty and commitment on its sleeve and features an exuberant vocal from David which his fans will love.
