L.A’s @Mahalo_dj collaborates with Poland’s @Milkwish for dark deep house of “Alone Again”

MAHALO and MILKWISH, “Alone Again”

Led by a silky and soulful uncredited male vocal, “Alone Again” is haunting late night deep house in another collaboration between L.A.-based Mahalo and Poland’s Milkwish that got the attention of Tiësto’s AFTR:HRS label.  It’s a fine late night driving song with rich synth work that’s a solid bookend follow up to the recent “Go Ahead”, which is sitting in the Top 10 of my personal chart.  If those two songs aren’t enough, the ultra-prolific Mahalo (aka Nick Jay) also has two more releases, the more pop-oriented “Falling” with Lipless and singer Carly Paige, and the biting “So Cold”, with DLMT and vocalist Lily Denning.  “Alone Again” is my choice out of the three, but check out the other two below for different sides of this talented guy!

Poland’s @Gromeeofficial has a catchy breakout with “One Last Time” featuring Norway’s Jesper Jenset (@JJenset)

GROMEE and JESPER JENSET, “One Last Time”

It’s bound to get completely stuck in your head, so don’t say you weren’t warned about “One Last Time” by Krakow-based producer Gromee and featuring the vocal of Norway’s Jesper Jenset.  We last heard from Jesper a few years back with the very different “High”, which was one of my favourites of its year in its Young Bombs remix.  Here we have a slicker vocal that could easily be mistaken for Shawn Mendes, an interesting comparison since Shawn doesn’t make dance music but his songs are often remixed.  Gromee focuses on nailing that chorus with the underlying bass synth, and builds on the urgency of the song with higher notes and guitar riffs.  “One Last Time” is certain to grab you with one listen, so add it to your Future Pop playlist using the Spotify link up top.

If you want your #EDM extra heavy then you can “Rock Thiz” with Dirty Rush & Gregor Es (@dirty__es)

DIRTY RUSH & GREGOR ES, “Rock Thiz”

You’re likely to get so wrapped up with the electro-house energy and power of “Rock Thiz” that you’ll be surprised that it’s over in a two and a half minute flash!  Polish producer/DJ’s Dirty Rush & Gregor Es totally blast through the doors with this powerhouse which is out to not only work you out on the dance floor, but will totally slay you in the process.  I’ve read the comments that some listeners say this is repping on “All Day” by Kill FM, and while there may have been some inspiration, I think the Polish duo make “Rock Thiz” stand firmly on its own.  Listen at the link above, but be prepared to get silly while you do 🙂
